Dude I don't know if you saw the movie Lone Survivor yet but I just watched the beginning and thought of you.
In the beginning of the movie they showed Navy Seals training at Seal School and what one of the drill instructors said really stuck out to me.
"Find an any excuse to win!"
The drill instructor was yelling this at one of the Privates that was having a hard time getting up to run again. A light bulb went off in my head.
When you can't get back up, your tired, afraid, hurting, cold, or whatever; it doesn't mater what thought process you have. The only thing that's important is that your moving again! That's all.
At the end are you going to think, "gosh I wish I didn't think about that to get myself moving again" NO! Your going to be filled up with self gratification that you made it!
So, think up anything that will get you moving again no mater what it is.
Such good advise. Think of any excuse to get moving again and again.
Fantastic!
The mental toughness of a Navy Seal is beyond good or just OK. It's a warrior's mentality never to give up. How can we learn from the Navy Seals?
In everyday life we might not have go through what the Seals go through but we still can take away a lesson in inner drive and metal toughness. We are faced with more of a emotional battle then a physical one everyday. How we overcome our emotions can greatly impacted our lives.
Just think how far we can get in our own lives if we never gave up. Also if we had the metal toughness to think up any excuse to get our bodies and minds moving again. We should move towards our goals and never give up.
We tend to think about why we shouldn't do something and we can think up any excuse not to do something. We get stuck > excuse after excuse > why not the other way around?
